I am Frank McMahan.

I was born in New York and raised in Charlotte, NC by my wonderful parents Michele and Frank with my brother Nicky. Graduated from Elon University with a bachelors degree in Cinema and Television Arts B.A., learning a diverse range of understanding in acting, directing, producing, screenwriting, and visual aesthetics.

I currently attend Toronto Film School in Toronto, Canada.

I first started acting for Theatre when I was in elementary school (age 9), playing one of the criminal’s in a showing of 101 Dalmatians. From this point on I would go on to be in tons of on stage shows, and with diverse characters: from starring as ‘Tommy’ in Father of The Bride to starring as ‘Puck’ in A Midsummer Night's Dream. Shakespeare? Yes, being trained in Shakespeare acting classes through the ages 12-15 was not exactly the regularity… I would be reciting monologues from Macbeth, A Midsummer, etc. whilst reading other works. like Hamlet and Much Ado About Nothing. This experience truly lead to my youthful understanding of theatre, scriptwriting, history, literature, and of course acting.

This passion for storytelling spread like wildfire to write my own scripts, take photos of my daily life, act in front of a camera, and edit my own videos. I transitioned from mainly a stage actor to an idealist in this space of entertainment. A massive piece of who I am lies in the filmed comedy sketches for my high school’s morning show, edited youtube videos I made for friends and myself, explored photography, written and produced music, theatre shows, and film produced material that I contributed to for over a decade. Writing, acting, directing, and producing art is imbedded in my daily approach, and I challenge to become the best version of myself through all of these fields.

Understanding how to connect to ones emotion is most likely my biggest advantage, speaking to my love for film in how it can quite literally inspire someone’s life within a couple of hours. I find it fascinating to touch someones life with a story, and I have used this to grow my skills and interests into becoming a filmmaker. I have aspirations of being known as a trustworthy advisory, true actor, a diverse storyteller, a creative writer, a re wiring filmmaker, and an unafraid and confident artist with a personal reach.

I will be there soon…
